My work has been an exploration of diverse visual media and processes that explores my personal and psychological experiences of dissociation – my thought processes (hallucinations) made visible.
Dissociation is a disruption in the usually integrated function of consciousness, memory, identity or perception. The disturbance may be sudden or gradual, transient or chronic. In this body of work I have explored the many aspects and ways in which I experience dissociation at any one time.
I hope to enable the viewer to have a glimpse of my experience of dissociation through fragments and disconnections and experiencing the unfamiliar and uncomfortable.
